This is strange. My other environment works as expected without the change, and my production environment does not re-connect the user to their disconnected session. Very odd. Both environments are exactly the same. Have to put in a support ticket for this one.
The issue is a result of authenticating with another domain (one way transitive trust), implementing security policies not allowing bad ciphers on the dc’s, and blocking tls 1.0 on the dc’s. Users authenticate to the second domain through the ADC, and log into the desktop with the second domain credentials because of the trust, and their user name is missing studio. Therefore when the user disconnects from the desktop, and connects again, they pull a new desktop, because the username does not show in studio (but does in director).
