Aside from adding it to CtxHook.

I know it was something that use edge for to embed content. But I really wasn't sure. I had to go read about it because I wasn't sure again. But I know I haven't removed it. Just add it to the CtxHook as you suggested and it won't be as much of a problem. I also add it to the logoffchechsysmodules (just in case). This is here to stay as it's the replacement for UIs that used the IE engine, etc.

In TaskManager - Goto Details - Right on Name and Select Columns - Check Mark Command Lines and Click on Ok Button

An application that leverages it will have multiple instances per user. Use the Details tab and add the Command line column and you will see where it's coming from. You can also use Process Explorer to give you that information.
