Can you explain a bit more about your setup? Upgrade or new install? Gpu non gpu etc?
j
Upgrade from 2203 with AMD Gpu
I ran VDA clean-up utility and now it seems fine. I was getting an error running the built-in uninstall of 2206
I also noticed File Explorer (seamless) closes automatically when I click in the search box
r
Ok, good to hear a cleanup worked
Do you still have the upgraded image?
j
well not really since we ain't supposed to use the vda clean up anymore
yeah I have a copy
r
Could you do me a favor and share a CDF trace? ( I work for Citrix engineering)
j
once I get the chance, so many bugs with this release so far
can't install CQI anymore also
r
What other issues do you see?
I've seen issues with CQI if the VDA was not installed correctly, so it didn't detect that it was installed
CQI should be removed before VDA upgrade, otherwise it has to be cleaned manually from regedit and it's pita
I would expect the VDA to do this automatically
r
It's not part of the VDA install so it's left untouched. But it could be a good enhancement, let me forward that feedback to the responsible team

Just installed KB5014666, i'll re-test File Explorer search to see if it crash again, i've seen errors in event viewer.
Seems better, at least explorer did not crash. I still can't launch a desktop and a seamless app at once, I may have to change the seamless flags I guess.

cool but how are we suppose to install Universal Print Client now ?
r
@Jonathan Pitre Universal Print Client is installed by default, so no need to include it. If you don't want it, you can exclude it though.

good to know, thanks @Rody Kossen
