Surprisingly, I haven't seen this happen, and I went through this very testing exercise thoroughly. Tested plugging in various mics before Teams was launched, after Teams was launched, switching devices, etc. Teams was one of the few apps to handle it well, and I imagine that it's because it uses the default devices in the OS (as opposed to, say, WebEx or BlueJeans).
