What was the orginal VDA install you had before the upgrade? Use that to install it again, then use Control panel to remove it, then VDA cleanup tool. I have ran into this since 7.15 from time to time.

HI Jonas I asked support and they said this was not a recent change. But if you run the vda install from the command line with /VIRTUALMACHINE then it should show you the normal prompts

Thanks for the suggestions! I will test them out and keep you up to date about it.
@Ray Davis unfortunately your suggestions didn't work in my environment. But I was able to install the VDA by using the /VIRTUALMACHINE parameter which @Rob Zylowski suggested. Thanks again for your help

we had the same behavior with Moonshot cartridges and opened an incident. they dont recognise that the underlying system is hardware. Only command line installation works. unfortunately the case was opened with my old account and company, but if you open an new incident, they should find this. hope this helps, best regards Thorsten
