It all depends on your storage. Some Storage thin provisioning doesn't matter from performance stand point

i see...it's flash storage...not sure if that makes a difference. i am not much of a storage person.

Thin provisioning with MCS is much better especially when doing fast clone. I've been using it with our fast ssd NFS array, Redhat VDO for years now. If you use thick with fast clone it will be like doing full clone as we would allocate the full .diff disk space.

we use thick but on the backend its all thin volume so it all depends ask your storage team
