Granted, this was all in 1912, but we never had EDT enabled long enough to really gauge a performance impact. We had issues both times we enabled it (hard stop issues, not performance), and I believe both were related to Mac devices. I'm told it's better in 2203, but I'll let others speak to that.

I had it enabled on 1912 CU2 at one place and I had a horrible time with it, Swithed back and things were better. Another place I had it on with 1912CU4 and it helped on long WAN hauls but audio was a pain and it would lock up sessions when things like outlook dings, Teams dings would come in. It was something I really struggled on to troubleshoot that part. But there was a series of steps I had to take to get it as close to perfect as I could.

I used it at western digital for 10k users with no issues and currently using it on Citrix Cloud with no issues.

We started with EDT, was a strong recommendation from Citrix, we had some pains initially but it's been pretty good.
Any time we've forced off of it they've come back reporting performance issues when working remotely.
Mostly 1912 LTSR Roughly 200 endpoints who work remotely 80% of the time.

We also tried very early, had a lot of friction and never tried again until running Citrix Cloud/Hybrid w/ no issues.

EDT works well for us finally - macOS issues have been solved with the last versions of CWA.
