If the CVAD servers and the back-end Linux server are on the same subnet or VLAN, this should not be a problem as all ports are typically open for nodes on the same subnet or VLAN. If that traffic is having to go through a router, network teams might block uncommon ports for security reasons. To be fair, they could also block them at the switch level, but that's a lot more work, but I've seen it done . Also make sure you set the ports for return traffic, too. Most times it's the same port or the FW rules will automatically allow a response, but applications respond over different ports than the traffic went over
