A while back, Microsoft released updates that made sysprep important again. Affected VM's deployed from the same image were then left not able to RDP or Share between them. I get that the fix is to sysprep your golden images (we call them Templates) before deploying desktops. However, I have a customer who has deployed ~600 persistent desktops. Without redeploying the persistent desktop VMs or breaking their applications, how do they update their VMs to allow the functionality previously allowed prior to making sysprep a requirement again (RDP, remote Powershell management, Sharing)? Thanks a million, ahead of time!

Thanks @Matt Nation. I see that this helps in avoiding the issue by separating the desktops into different machine catalogs (each with a unique golden image). Is there anyway that you know of to set this MachineID differently so that we can save their deployed persistent VMs?
