Great job on this @Thomas Poppelgaard. Much appreciated. I’m using this as the timeline reference for SoC meetings. As this is widely spread, could you add a sample of how the mitigation expression could be made a bit more manageable using advanced expression that is set as the rule in the response policy. Once it’s updated, all we’d need to do is push the next version via NS Console to all instances and set the Resp Pol to use that one (many envs have different naming conventions between HA pairs on GW/AAA vServers)
add policy expression exp_saml_mitigation_v5d ”supersecret expression” -comment ”version info”
add responder policy rsp_pol_saml_mitigation exp_saml_mitigation_v5d DROP
Then bind this policy to all objects. Updating would be just adding:
add policy expression exp_saml_mitigation_vxx "new expression" -comment "2026-10-xx via Citrix Support"
set responder policy rsp_pol_saml_mitigation -rule exp_saml_mitigation_vxx

Thanks, great tip! I've added it to the blog under Mitigation Steps, with the bind and update commands and a few gotchas (Responder feature, removing the old expression, length limit). The checker will recognise the policy via the named expression too.
