We are trying to migrate from StoreFront 2402 CU3 servers running on Windows Server 2016 to new SF 2402 CU3 servers running Server 2022. We'd like to export the user subscription database from the old StoreFront servers and import them on the new ones, as even a missing shortcut from a desktop or Workspace App is apparently "very disruptive"for users. We considered just doing automatic or mandatory subscriptions to the most used resources across the user base, but if I had the option I'd like to preserve all subscriptions for users, I'd take it. It appears the export from the old servers and import to the new servers completes, but when logging into the new StoreFront servers, none of the subscriptions are reflected to the test users. In the file exported from the old servers, apps that no longer exist are present in the output, and references to users or domains that no longer exist are also in the file, which I figure it a fairly common scenario in a VAD desktop that has existed for years. Nothing has changed regarding the Delivery Controller hostnames, folder structure of the published apps that still exist, or anything like that. Is the presence of these "stale" entries what might be preventing a successful import into the new SF servers? Is there some other special trick to it? We just followed the PowerShell commands the Citrix KB article cites as the export/import functions. Anyone do this successfully before?

Is the Delivery Controller Display Name also the same in StoreFront?
n
Correct, they are the same. We used the export and import function for the Store config as well.

I've had success exporting and importing the storefront subscription store DB several times and I'm sure there are tons of "stale" entries in ours. Have you gone to the subscription store DB folder to compare the size across the storefront servers?

I also usually stop the Citrix Subscription Store service on each new storefront server and delete the contents of C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Citrix\SubscriptionsStore\YourStoreName, start the service, and then import it. I don't think this is supposed to be necessary though.

If you have SQL, I would move the data there. I will look around, I had some scripts at one point to pull dead info from there DB. If I still have it I will share.
