FYI - in our lab environment we were trying to validate the built-in NetScaler agent could activate directly against LAS without requiring the full NetScaler agent. Turns out it can on a 'normal' BSD based NetScaler build, we couldn't get it working initially but our lab is Nutanix and we were using the Nutanix AHV specific build which seems to be based on the Linux BLX build. That doesn't work, but the generic KVM (BSD based) build does. YMMV....

It works Dan, I've done it. I have done it on vSphere and XenServer, not sure what the difference might be.

Leee, it’s the AHV build. It runs on a different base Linux and I'm betting they didn't program out the built-in agent. FWIW 15 will all be in the new Linux instead of the old BSD.

the built in agent on the Linux build is there, but fails... the appliance shows up in NetScaler Console Service but never connects (and therefore doesn't get licensed) Interesting re v15, I wasn't aware. Will no doubt take a few release cycles before they get feature parity and the various bugs ironed out.

Yes. The AHV firmware is the guinea pig.
