looking at upgrading the OS of our on prem citrix license server in our DAAS enviroment. Obviously an in place OS upgrade isnt recommended. Prior to LAS with file based licensing i would just of either built a new citrix license server with new OS and returned and reallocated the licenses to the new hostname or build a new citrix license server with new OS and use the original IP/hostname after shutting the old one down. whats the options with LAS ? I presume its just build a new citrix license server and allow the LAS URLS and register the new citrix license server in citrix cloud and then delete the old one from citrix cloud

Yeah build new , register it and make sure studio wem pvs etc point to the new one prior to removing old one

as its DAAS i only got Xenserver and PVS on prem so yeah had it in my mind to switch those over to the new license server once registered in citrix cloud

The cool thing about LAS is that you can have two license servers and they get the same licenses so no dealing wiht a cluster to get redundancy

Isn't there a grace period Rob? where licensing will work for certain amount of time before ** hits the fan?
