Citrix Battery Indicator – is there any way to make it actually useful? Let's be honest – the Citrix battery indicator is pretty underwhelming. A tiny, hidden icon that doesn't even show a percentage? In 2025 this feels like a placeholder feature that never got finished. Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone has found workarounds or config tweaks for the following: 1. Show actual battery % continuously – not just a generic icon with vague charge levels, but a real number visible at a glance 2. Keep the icon pinned to the system tray – not buried under the hidden icons overflow menu where nobody ever looks 3. Reflect real-time charge accurately – the icon shows not clear batter state compared to the actual host battery I get that VDA-to-client battery passthrough is inherently limited by the virtual channel architecture, but surely there's something that can be done on the CWA/StoreFront/policy side to improve this. Anyone using a GPO, registry tweak, or third-party tool to compensate? Or is this purely a Citrix product gap that needs a proper feature request? Running: CWA 2603+, CVAD 2507 CU1 LTSR, Windows 11 endpoints.

I just look at my battery indicator, and shows fine the % and also the continuous charge %. I'm running a Mac with latest CWA

To be clear: I need a solution that doesn't require moving the mouse to check the percentage. It would also be great if the icon reflected the battery level itself, rather than just changing colors.

Windows itself does not show the percentage by default without hoving the mouse over. You are asking Citrix to implement something that Windows itself does not have.

You are right not by default… I’m looking for below.👇 By the way: I think you’re forgetting the very reason Citrix exists in the first place. The entire company was built on implementing features that Windows didn't have.

The only way you get Citrix to do anything these days is if a (very big) customer asks them for it. That's how they roll now.

Thank @Steven Lemonier It’s time to rework this little thing once and for all. There is no room for compromise. Nowadays, with the help of AI, implementing such functionality should be child’s play for developers.
