Hi guys, we are currently migrating our Citrix on-prem License Server to Citrix Cloud (LAS) and are facing the following issue currently: We followed the guide from Citrix and got it Registered with Citrix Cloud, it is also showing as "Online License Activation Service", however we get an error message with LAS cannot be reached, even though we also excluded all the addresses mentioned by citrix: • https://las.cloud.com:443 • https://customers.citrixworkspacesapi.net:443 • https://trust.citrixnetworkapi.net:443 • https://trust.citrixworkspacesapi.net:443 • https://cis.citrix.com:443 • https://core.citrixworkspacesapi.net:443 In the Cloud it looks like this, but probably because we didn't activate the products yet: Restarting Services etc. doesnt help: I also see errors in the event log, but am not sure if these are the problem

Run this on the license server? What does the script do 🙂 The error is not appearing, because we didn't switch the product to the cloud right, I would wait for the error message to dissapear before activating the products
oh it looks like just a health check

yeah, making sure you rtime is correct and you can access all the different citrix sites through your firewall

Do you need a Proxy in your env? What is „Invoke-WebRequest“ doing when checking the adresses? Certification Authorities are up-to-date on the license server? You can try the following in PowerShell to see if the „hardware“ is having values. Get-PhysicalDisk | Select-Object SerialNumber, FriendlyName Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_BaseBoard | Select-Object SerialNumber,Name,Product Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_BIOS | Select-Object SerialNumber,Name,Version Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_Processor | Select-Object Name,Caption

The script is great, but it should be updated to reflect the minimum build required for LAS. All of the documentation Ive seen says 51000 minimum, but even that doesn't support anything but CVAD 2411. It requires 53100 or later for PVS, CVAD LTSRs, WEM, etc. The script only looks at the major version and says OK

We normally do it over a proxy, but as didn't work we tried it without one but faced the same issues. The whole environment is on 2507 so the versions should be OK aswell
Everything looks good with the health check, still facing the same issue tho
One thing we noticed is, that there is a redirect from https://cis.citrix.com:443 after we excluded the redirect it went green. When i remove the registration and add it again I get a new info "Upload to https://cis.citrix.com successfull", but it is still not working correctly. The registration state is showing as Online License Activation Service still after unregistering and also the error message is still there
m
SSL inspection in place?

is not active
after readding: Should we try changing the products to LAS, will this solve the issue?

I would capture a CDF Trace and hope to see something obvious... AFAIK there are no good log files to consult... But checked the documentation just a couple of weeks ago.
f
I didnt find anything usefull with the CDF Trace, however I found this in the Ctxlasclient.log "No Org available to process" with "LS_DB_RECORD_NOT_FOUND", but I am not sure if we are just getting this, as our products are not joined to cloud yet
s
ah, have you logged into citrix.cloud.com and confirmed all looks well in there?
i suppose you have as you have to do that upon registering it...
f
I see for example our DAAS entitlement being expired since "10/22/2023", but I was guessing it was due our licenses being still on-prem apart from that the account ID match the one on the license server when registering. User being used also has Full Administrator and the company details look correct
It seems like the org ids from Cloud and citrix.com also differ. So we are basically connected to the wrong tenant I guess, I dont think this is solvable without Citrix Support
s
yeah, not a bad idea.
