What will technically happen here tomorrow? NS Docs says "NetScaler instance stops its normal operations after the license expiry, including configuration loss and complete shutdown of traffic processing." but is that true? I thought everything will work, until I REBOOT a VPX? Thank you!
"If connectivity breaks between NetScaler and agent, or agent and NetScaler Console service, the behavior is as follows: NetScaler goes into grace for 30 days." So it would be better in that scenario to "break the connection" (eg FW-rule) so I have additional 30 days to get the renewal of the lics done?

This happened to me last week. NetScalers will have a prompt at the admin UI telling you you're in Grace for 720 hours. (Renewal team took FOREVER to get a quote, just renewed 2.5 weeks ago and processing took even longer)
h
@Julian Jakob did you get any further with this? The behaviour on the NetScaler is as what @Jon Bucud said, I'm looking for exactly your question what happens if the term expires in console
j
I've applied temp demo licenses because the old HMC expired the same day, the renewed HMC license starts to kick in and I wasn't sure what will happen... 😕 did you get any updates on how the correct procedure would look like?
h
I renewed internally CSP licenses to overlap, but have my original co-term date bumped up 10 days now, wouldn't risk the expiry of my customers licenses, there is indeed no grace and what the article states, if valid ones are there they will take it over and it did exactly that.
so renewal wise it's shitty but technical it works
hope this changes in the future
