I got the unifed Adobe installer (Reader/Pro in one package) with “bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx”=dword:00000001 set in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown (Also in the Wow6432node) but everytime you click the Home button within the App it pops up with a Sign in Window which i beleive shouldnt be happening ??? I also got bDontShowMsgWhenViewingDoc in the cIPM key with no joy. Any got same ?
d
what if you try “bIsSCReducedModeEnforced" without the ex? i think i have that set on our deployment
b
my command line:
/sALL /msi ROAMIDENTITY=1 ROAMLICENSING=1
this needs to be set on master and VDA: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Licensing\UserSpecificLicensing]"Enabled"="1" (REG_SZ) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Identity\UserSpecificIdentity]"Enabled"="1" (REG_SZ)
c
Is that relevant to the unified installer? I know it was a thing with Acrobat pro (none unified version)
b
I have set it and solved my authentication issues. User had to login every time
The worst what can happen is that the keys are getting ignored. bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx is the most important key and plays additionally into it
c
Like @Balint Oberrauch , i have the following: "%~dp0setup.exe" /sAll /msi ADDLOCAL=ALL ROAMIDENTITY=1 ROAMLICENSING=1 REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Licensing\UserSpecificLicensing /v Enabled /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Identity\UserSpecificIdentity /v Enabled /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f I also have these set via GPO but listed here as well: REM ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown /v bUpdateToSingleApp /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f REM ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown /v bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f REM ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cIPM /v bDontShowMsgWhenViewingDoc /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

@Corey Tracey cool! Seems like I'm not configuring bullshit at customers haha
c
Any of you use the Adobe customization wizard to create a transform file prior to installing ? or just using those command line paramaters during install no TRANSFORMS= ?
The crazy thing is i have this working fine in my lab!!! i tried reinstalling with your command line switches and all reg keys listed and i still get the sign in pop up when on the " Home" page with a user who isnt logged in with their Adobe account !!!! (It should not try and sign in ..... it should default to Reader )
b
licensing path in your fslogix profile is empty?
c
That in Appdata\roaming\Adobe ? I do include that path in the redirections.xml
b
It should be included by default, no need to include it explicitly. Try the following xml: fslogix/Redirections/README.MD at main · aaronparker/fslogix
Or even better. Remove it for testing.
c
The Adobe include ?
b
the whole XML in appdata\local\fslogix and the regkey for the xml path
on your test VM
c
try a new user profile in the lab?
b
new profile is also a good idea, but without any redirection.xml
c
I did see the same issue when logging in locally as the local administrator but will try without a redirection.xml and added to exclude fslogix groups
b
Then we have two options: 1. The keys "bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx" and "bDontShowMsgWhenViewingDoc" do not apply as they should 2. It's a bug
c
just installing the same version on a standalone none Citrix server to see if see same behaviour
test server (Non Citrix) local profile no profile management get same thing with bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx and bDontShowMsgWhenViewingDoc added so got to be a bug
So I set them keys closed and reopened multiple times and clicked home and got the signin pop up. But now all of a sudden it started working closed and reopened multiple times and clicking home doesn't bring up a sign in window
Wondering does it have to do a check in or something with Adobe maybe I have to leave it for a while to settle and make sure the box has Internet access (logging in locally on pvs image there isn't a proxy set so no inet)
b
Named Licensing = required internet access.
But I'm sure you have that in your production environment.
c
Yeah it's only on PVS Maintenance target device when installing /configuring the software there is no inet access when logged in as local administrator. Once image is pushed out to test servers they have internet access
Could somone confirm for me if you click this Home button with the universal installer with all above reg keys set does it trigger a Adobe sign in page

c
i tried and no prompt. i have reg keys exported and a video too if you want to see them. send me a private message
c
Found the bloody issues was a buggy version. I updated to 25.001.20435 which was released two days ago and no more sign in prompts when in reader mode !!! checked fixed issue

b
ouch
b
send them an invoice 🤣
c
haha spent about 3 days straight on it
its annoying as the download link still gives you
Now onto next Adobe issue spinning on the E sign when logged in. God this software is so bad i cant decide which is worst Adobe or Microsoft
got to create the E Sign signature when not logged in (Reader mode) and then when signed in its available 🙂
