Hi folks, I'm planning to upgrade our CVAD 2203 CU5 to CVAD 2402 CU1. I will follow the standard Citrix process upgrade. Any gotcha I should be aware? I know CWA 1912 is not compatible with VDA 2402 CU1 but my VDA will stay on 2203 CU5 for a while. Thanks!

SQLLocal doesnt upgrade, and may need to manually upgraded before upgradering to 2402 CUx

2402 uses a new video rendering function. Have had some graphics applications behave differently than when they use 2203.

If you use PVS, you wouldn't be able to add machines into MC & DG via Studio, you would need to use PowerShell or WebStudio.

You can still create machines with PVS Console, but if you are deploying to Azure machines you lose some of the new cost saving functions if you don't use Web studio. But you also can use D:\ for your writecache drive with web studio, working on that fun feature with support now.

Thanks! I found out about Studio not allowing adding new VM a few days ago. The PVS wizard doesn't work, it doesn't show my resources / Xenserver used for PVS. I didn't want to open another Ctx case ... so I use PoSh and it worked. They love to make our life complicated! I still need to install the WebStudio but for now I don't really need it.

You will need it. Studio is now EOL, and all new configurations are all WebStudio.

@jvitech it was announced back in 1912, somehow we all have been ignorants 😄 i was suprised as well, but quickly found workarounds (PS or WebStudio)
