Hi, A customer wants Outlook not to open within a Citrix terminal session (VDA) but on the client machine instead. The customer has an ERP system that generates new emails (with text, recipients, and attachments). They want these emails to open in the locally installed Outlook, not in the Citrix session. Has anyone had experience with this? I tried using the Citrix FTA Launcher, but it didn’t work. It works well for http/https but not with Outlook or its protocol.

I've had clients ask for this for years, and I don't think it is posisble - I've never been able to find anything to make this happen.

isnt that just local app access? I have only tested local app access with Chrome, but I would expect it to function how they want

No, unfortunately, I couldn’t achieve this with Local App Access because the ERP system directly accesses the Outlook.Application COM object. If I use the mailto protocol, I might be able to make it work. I just wanted to double-check if I’m not overlooking something here. I thought I had seen something like this many years ago, but I’m not entirely sure anymore
