Anything extra need to be done on a server 2022 RDS session host in regards to RDS licensing?. I got a activated server 2022 RDS license server with server 2022 per user CALS installed and its added to the terminal server licence servers AD group. The session host has a GPO with the 2022 RDS license server specified and license mode set (GPO applied in registry and RSOP.msc) but i am getting issues where it doesnt think a RDS license server is available. Comms between RDS session host/ RDS license server are fine as there is no FW in between. The RDS licensing diagnosis tool on the RDS session host is reporting no problems either which is strange

Try this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM\Licensing Core\LicensingMode Look at the value, it should be 2 for ‘per device’ and 4 for ‘per user’ license type. Change the value to the correct license type.

I have seen this message pop up on my 2022 and 2025 servers, even when they are properly licensed. I believe it is a bug.

I always reset the grace period for RDS when sealing my vDisk ;)

Use bisf to reset the cache. It’s a bug.
