I Know I've seen older posts online regarding 'ghost' or 'zombie' sessions in single user desktops. Basically, session state is connected, but current user is empty, and the time in state can be anywhere from 10 minutes to multiple days. I've seen some others write a script to force restart those machines when whatever qualifiying "time in state" is met - typically 30 minutes, but has anyone ever found a root cause for it? We see this happen on 10 - 15 sessions per day, with about 5,500 max concurrent users and 10,000 total daily users. 15 per day isn't terrible, and I can address it with the reboot, but I prefer to resolve an issue rather than just help it along. I am able to login to each of the VDIs without issue (via RDP) I see nothing in the event logs that indicates an issue, and even after I log out, the machine doesn't reboot (nonpersistent VDI). The only way to resolve the issue is by a restart of the machine.
