Hi, I just want to check if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with our Netscaler Console / ADM agent setup on-prem. We are switching to flexed licensing. This works for all Netscaler HA pairs. 1 Netscaler HA pair is in a separated network we cannot communicate directly with. That’s the reason for using a ADM agent. We can manage this HA pair from the Netscaler Console, execute upgrade jobs, etc.
We are unable to get flexed licensing to work. It appears the ADM agent is not servicing the licenses at port 27000. Citrix says that for flexed licensing in combination with an ADM agent you have to use Netscaler Console service (Citrix Cloud). We have reasons not to use the Netscaler Console service so, we want to keep it on-prem.
Has anyone managed to use this configuration?

As far as I know, Console Agent only works with service, given that the role of the agent is precisely to have an on-prem component talking to Citrix Cloud instead of the NetScalers directly.

You can deploy an additional NetScaler Console into the “dark” network as a workaround.

Yeah, got bit by that this week, in fact. Granted, all on-prem here, but we tried our damndest to use VPX -> Agent -> Console, for everything. But for the licenses, we had to open from VPX -> Console straight away. A limitation I dream they fix for later, as it's not what we'd hoped for. But.. it works, for now.

Thank you Jan and Nicklas. We might open VPX to Console ports…

Same here, Console on prem with agents, but also had to open 27000 to Console directly from sdx

Thanks guys. Opening ports did the job. Too bad it can’t be done with the ADM agent and the ADM Console on-prem.
