Hey everyone, have a Delivery Group Load balancing question. Have a client with 15 delivery groups providing 1 application. (Don't ask) we notice that app launches don't seem to be spread across all delivery groups at all times. It's like the system cycles through the groups sending batches of users to a group before moving on to the next. Is there any information on how load balancing of sessions is handled under multiple delivery groups? And consolidating down to a single delivery group isn't an option, as we are planning priority levels for DR and that requires multiple delivery groups. Also is there any information on best practices for number of delivery groups per published app I can reference?

It should load balance apps wiht the same priority but load evaluators will modify that based on their settings.

Yeah, it should. But I have a delivery group that has more available numbers that won't get sessions until all the others get some. So it seems to cycle through the delivery groups in batches. Just trying to find the rhyme or reason to it.

Do you have zone preference set as well

We have the delivery groups and controllers in their preferred zones. Users are all remote from the datacenters so no real way to setup a preferred DC for users.

Yeah, that's not going to work. All 3 zones that delivery groups are deployed to are to be treated as peers. And we are seeing equal distribution, it's just that it comes in spurts.
