I need to update a hosting connection certificate for an updated ESX certificate (Citrix onPrem) - I want to cancel all pending power actions to prevent a reboot storm when the cert is updated - will this be enough to run Get-BrokerHostingPowerAction - State Pending | Stop-ProvTask ?

There shouldn't be a reboot storm, if machines are already up they just re-register. After you put in the new certificate signature, just put the vmware host in maintenance mode, then take it out. I did this for a booted environment with thousands of vms, no problems.

There are pending states and it does happen. Not always, but you do have to check. I always check because it has happened
Not disagree with you @Jeff Riechers but I have seen it and happened to me. Not a storm but some did kick off.

Interesting. My environments were multi-user, so maybe it is a single-user thing.

Ahh yeah, that's a good point here. Definitely single session random. Should have said that before.

Thank you for the feedback guys much appreciated !
