anyone managed to get slimcore optimization running? I don't see MsTeamsVdi.exe running on the endpoint. Teams is on version 24243.1309.3132.617, VDA is 2402 CU1 and virtual channels have been disabled completely for testing purpose.

Yea I’m right there with you. It’s a pain. I’m not sure why it works sometimes and other times it doesnt

In this case I think it's related to the missing MsTeamsVDi.exe and the missing Slimcore AppX package on my client. Even when meeting all the prereqs, the appx package is not getting installed... Is this working for you?

Hi Balint, there is a known issue which I got confirmed from MS. The slimcore plugin on the client on my testing got never installed when the teams adminpolicy was configured for "On for everyone" (first Screenshot) - instead, switch to "Users can opt in" (second screenshot) there you get the option-button in teams to enable preview features, enable preview, restart teams 2x and voila, the appx package get installed on your endpoint 😉

For us "On for everyone" did work but it took 24h for some users before it activated

@Lennart Hermansson exactly, MS said there can be a need for some "idle time" inside the session, it will not be switched to the new slimcore directly. That's sad when you're trying to test a feature scheduled 😄

IT FINALLY WORKED, just had to logon and logoff for a hundred times. 🔪

I noticed a strange behavior. A Teams meeting or a call runs at the end point and as soon as a Published Desktop starts with Teams in slimCore mode, the local Teams Meeting immediately aborts. The slimCore Teams is used with an account from a completely different tenant. Anyone had the same experience?

Oh is this now the strange behavior thread. I have one customer that have in 80% of the tens starts a message that edgewebview is not installed. But it’s there and activated 😅

Let's say it differently: Should it be the case that ongoing calls are terminated as soon as a SlimCore Teams enters the stage? I have this with Citrix and W365 Cloud PC. Maybe it's just individual fate.

I found the problem with my edgewebview2 topic. After a cleanup of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable the error was gone. I had on this image very old version and every version installed in x86 and x64.

Do anyone of you have any info, when SlimCore will be GA available for Citrix?

@Markus Hohmann I also find as soon as I launch a Citrix session with Teams and slimcore enabled, any existing call on the client is terminated once it loads. Any fixes you've found since reporting this?

Newest fun stuff. Worker with vda 2411 on xenserver. If u put in the virtual channel allow list the msteams stuff for optimization -> bsod After a talk with Citrix and Microsoft, it’s a bug and they worked on a bugfix 🤣 🤣
