Citrix VDA Load Index shows 0 sometimes - User Load Balancing disrupted Hi, we have one MSP customer, who has a MCS CVAD 2402 CU1 site on Windows Server 2019. The site does a weekly reboot each Sunday. Since about two years (so also on previous VDA versions), every few weeks, one of the VDAs shows a Load index of 0 after the weekly reboot. This goes unnoticed and on Monday, the affected server receives all sessions, keeping the customers users from being able to work. The solution is simple: Just restart the
BrokerAgent
service. 10 seconds later the issue is gone. I'm very restrained to open a Citrix case because a) can't reproduce on purpose and b) happens only every few weeks. Best circumstances for an unsuccessful vendor ticket. Has anybody else ever observed this specific problem? Here is a graph of the Citrix Load Index before and after the weekly reboot:

hi Marco - we are chasing down something similar. I have not opened a ticket yet but the scenario for us is the same, server 2019 and 2402cu1. We've been resetting the load counters and restarting the service.

I would put a script in place as a workaround and it can help for troubleshooting.

Try setting the max allowed users setting in studio policy. I've seen this a couple times where I'm setting the cpu/memory load management settings to 90%. Sometimes load isn't calculated corrected and setting the max users fixes it.

@Steve Noel Allowed users is indeed not set in Studio. See screenshot. So your suggestion would be, to always set those three, regardless of if I need max sessions or not. Just set it to a value, instead of not setting or disabling?

yeah, for me, setting the maximum number of sessions seemed to fix the load calculation, you dont have to set the memory/cpu if you dont want to, i like to. If your not setting those, just try setting the max users and see if it works for ya.

The screenshot is what I configure usually. This works very well. I don't want to miss the CPU/MEM based limits. But adding a user session limit does no harm. Will take a few weeks though, until we might see a result.
