Folks, Working on a Win11/VDI upgrade for CVAD on-prem. Logon times are horrible (90 to 160 secs!), I've tried a fresh image/build, stripped off apps/config, removed appx crud, tried local profile, FSLogix, CPM etc. By killing AppReadiness (service setting to disabled) the logon times match, or are better that the prod Win10 (around 30 seconds). I know disabling this can introduce a flurry of issues with Windows update, app functions, start menu blah blah. The setup is pooled MCS with CPM, I haven't come across any issues with my light testing thus far with the items I've seen cause issues in the past, but its not sitting right with me. Any ideas? Is it possible to run app readiness via task or the like once the logon process is complete in case its needed down the track? cheers
To note, I have seen this issue before in early AVD/WVD deployments but if memory serves it was fixed with a standard patch release. The symptoms are the same with this, the screen goes black for about a minute while Appreadiness does 'stuff'.

Register the AppX packages for all users and see if it makes any difference

Thanks @Balint Oberrauch. I'll give that a try.

No dice unfortunately. I registered all appx for all users on the master. Local profiles seems ok on 2nd logon, its like appreadiness is kicking in before either CPM or FSLogix mount therefore treating it like a new user/profile, cheers

@Balint Oberrauch - heres examples of Appreadiness on / disabled:

When enabled (set to manual) it takes 25 - 40 seconds every logon. Its like its firing before FSL or CPM services kick in and assumes its a new/fresh profile, cheers
