I've probably asked this before, but I'm still working on it...or working on it again, depending on how you view things... Recent Items / Quick access. Does anybody have this functional in a Seamless App environment?
t
We have it working in our environment with upm file based access. I think adding this to files to sync was what solved it for us. AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\recent\*.lnk it's been quite a while since I worked on this

I have UPM container based, with almost nothing excluded. AppData\Roaming used to be redirected and I thought that may have played a part in it before, but everything is back to default locations now. It works in published desktop, but not in a Seamless App for us.

Any luck getting this to work? We had it working with file based UPM, migrated to container UPM, and have noticed that quick access is no longer being retained.

No luck here. I know I had a ticket with Citrix previously about it and I think it's a known issue they aren't able to fix, but I am only going from memory, I haven't had time to go back and look at the ticket for sure. It's on my list of things to do and if that wasn't the case, I'll open another.

I've gotten it to work by removing AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations from folders to exclude and deleting the Citrix user profile. If I don't delete the profile Quick Access doesn't work at all. I've still been trying to figure out how to get it to work without deleting the user profile, but haven't had any luck. I originally excluded AutomaticDestinations because the default user profile would sometimes populate that folder which would cause Quick Access issues for new user profiles.
I think I've figured out how to fix it now. Running this as a login script: Get-Item -Path "C:\Users\$Env:UserName\appdata\roaming\microsoft\Windows\recent\AutomaticDestinations" | Where-Object { $_.Mode -match "d----l" } | Remove-Item -Force -Recurse -Confirm:$false. Also removing AutomaticDestinations from folders to exclude.

I'll give this a shot and see how it goes.

In my situation, the AutomaticDestinations folder was showing as mode "d----l" (directory, reparse point, symlink, ect.). I think due to the way Citrix containers handle exclusions. When I removed the exclusion the folder was no longer accessible with File Explorer using shell:Recent\AutomaticDestinations, but was still visible by command line. Then if I delete the folder using a login script, only if the mode is "d----l", QuickAccess starts working again. I'm not sure if your situation will be the same, but hopefully it helps. I don't know why it wasn't as issue with file based UPM, but is with containers.
