I am looking for a list of "good" arguments for why we should move from 2203 to 2402. What's your argument?
n
EOS for 2203 LTSR is early 2027, no? Not sure about your environment, but we'd need a long runway for that, so upgrading next year would be the goal (and is). Given that we receive no new features on LTSR, this is your chance to gain access to something that you're going to move to eventually anyway.
j
Updated graphics engine. New features.
d
Newer versions of old Outlook are broken with certain login configurations. May not be a reason if you aren't affected, I guess. But it's a major driver here.
d
You pay for it, so why not take the latest features?
m
We already moved all customers from 2203 to 2402 and the only reason was: MS Teams support.
j
What do you mean by MS Teams support? Is there a better support with Teams v2 with 2402? Thx!

Published App support - With CVAD 2402 LTSR and above, you can now use publish new Teams as a published (seamless) application.
Registry entry for New Teams - Starting with CVAD 2402 LTSR, you don’t need to manually configure the msedgewebview2.exe registry entry as it is whitelisted by default
j
OK the published app is what you're after, thanks!
m
Well the second change was much more important for us 😅
j
OK right :) I read it and 2203 CU5 provides the same level of features than 2402 so it's not needed for Teams v2, no? So to reply to the OP, Teams v2 is not a big incentive for Teams v2. Or maybe I misread the article? 🤔

Director has the Citrix Cloud look/feel. Web studio!!! Director will tell you if Teams is optimized, Teams background blurring, MISX and App attach in studio, Azure hybrid join
💯 1
To flip it around, what is the justification to stay on software that is 2 years old?

m
Uh I LOVE Web Studio and MCS EntraID hybrid join! Both features solved so many problems for us!

I do must admit I don’t like the layout of the new Director, it wastes so much Space.
