Hi, another headache! I use PVS 2203 CU5, RAM 4GB with overflow to disk. It has been working great for years. Since Monday I have my write cache filling up, not a new vDisk, no change. I have the OS space lower than my WC size. After boot, I can fill up the OS with small files and it's fine. OS space left kind of match my WC. But something, prob our fracking Antivirus, make a lot of the WC white space (after a file is deleted) not usuable. So VM boot, OS has 20 GB free, WC 23GB free. When I have the prob, for example, OS has 5GB free, WC drive is full. I delete a log file on WC drive, WC expand. It should re-use the white space (I should have 5GB) but it doesn't. vDisk has been defrag, 97% optimised, can't do better. I call this a PVS white space leak .... Anyone having similar issue? I'l working with the security team but this AV/CheckPoint is killing me. Thanks!

Hi, thanks, yes it is applied but I can't find a reliable way to check if it is applied correctly, something is going on with CheckPoint but I have a hard time to prove it as it's quite low level ....

i've used this before to help tracking Write Cache issues. https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/folder_changes_view.html

Thanks Steve, I'll give it a go.
c
disk activity in resource monitor or procmon i have used in past to check what is writing to RAM/disk and filling the cache

Thanks man, Procmon doesn't seen to capture AV low level activity ... nor resource monitor. AV was ultimately the root cause of my issue, but I couldn't prove it

remove....issue gone. Proof! 😃

If you can it's even easier, I couldn't do that.
