This may be old news and I just missed it, but PSA: We have found a major issue with Intel Iris Graphics Drivers and using Citrix Workspace. The fix is to install the Arc driver to at LEAST version 32.0.101.5594. This is a known working version - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html

oh nice! The way I was able to fix is by disabling hardware acceleration for Workspace App
r
yup, saw that too, but drivers finally fix it
j
but good to know there is a good fix
thanks!

We had about a dozen affected devices among 5 customers, super helpful!

@Josh Farlow I would highly recommend not using "disabling HW acceleration" as a fix.

@Rody Kossen I don't want to sound rude, but the alternative was to be not able to work at all?
r
@Marco Hofmann that is not what I mean. Fix = permanent solution Workaround = temporary solution to unblock users while waiting on fix
m
Okay, then I misunderstood you, sorry.

No worries 🙂

Had the same issue with a customer and updating Intel Arc drivers to the latest version fixed the performance issues. However, after updating the driver, the audio quality in Teams (running in CTX Optimized mode) got worse. Has anyone noticed the something similar?

I have not had reports of this yet

FYI, I was able to fix the audio issue in Teams by configuring the following Registry key on the Endpoint: Name: EnableAEC Type: REG_DWORD Data: 0 Before setting it to 0, you could hear some kind of "robotic voice". Now it's gone 🙂 https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-windows/optimized-microsoft-teams#acoustic-echo-cancellation
