Not sure if right channel: I have a Windows 11 Multi User image on DaaS Standard for Azure, created by Packer. Customer complains that when he launches "To Do" it updates each time to the latest version. My guess is, that ToDo is old in the Azure marketplace image. How can I update the AppX in the Master Image? I guess it's just a PowerShell command during the Packet build pipeline?

Does winget upgrade --all cut it? Long time since I've looked at this TBF

You wonโ€™t get To Do to work. Latest FSLogix agent supports inbox apps of which To do isnโ€™t technically one of those. Remove it from the image and deploy it as a PWA instead

I've been out of the loop for a while....what's an "inbox app"?
a
AppX packages that are in the base image

@Aaron Parker Remove it would just be something like "Get-AppxPackage -Name Microsoft.Todos | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers" during the build process? And I know theoretically what a Progressive Web App is, but not how I should deploy it. You mean Like a MS Edge App?

@Aaron Parker This is your suggestion, am I right?

I talked to another guy from my team, he is more familiar with 365 than I. He suggested to ditch ToDo completely, either as AppX or PWA, and just use the native integration in New Teams 2. Also seems like an easy solution, because I really wouldn't have anything to change.

If you've never allowed users anywhere near these AppX abominations, they can never start using them.........
