Anyone had this error when installing/upgrading the 2402LTSR VDA ?? I had the same error previously when upgrading the VDA from 2203 to 2402 and had issues during testing (VDA kept deregistering/registering and had loads of connection failures) i kept getting these errors "The citrix desktop service is re registering with the ddc - notificationmanager:notificationservicethread WCF failuure". I tried a fresh install this time i uninstalled the VDA via add/remove programs and rebooted and then ran the VDA cleanup utility before trying a fresh install of the 2402 VDA. I do have the Xendesktop installer log to thrawl through but thought i would check if anyone else encountered this

It looks like one of the sub helper programs didn't install. The logs should tell you which of those components failed. It didn't fail enough to list a full failure, so it didn't roll back. I have had issues upgrading to 2402 usually tied to telemetry. But uninstalls, multiple VDA cleanups, manual registry and folder deletions and then it usually installs ok.

I dont really see much in the Xendesktop installer logs few errors about communication issue to the cloud connectors (even tho the DDC connection tests worked during setup when adding the cloud connectors). The msi installer logs seem clear of errors so think i am gonna get this vdisk promoted out to test to see if see same issues as last time

So 10060 is no response from server.

I would of expected it to fail the ddc connection test tho when adding the controller /cloud connectors during the VDA install. Also after the VDA install I rebooted and it was successfully able to get list of ddcs and register successfully

Seen the same issue when doing upgrades from 2305. An uninstall and reboot, vda cleanup with a couple more reboots solved it for me

And on really persnickety cleanups I have seen the VDA cleanup hang on step 7. After 15 minutes we did a reboot and the machine BSOD on picasys. But restarting and rerunning the cleanup finished correctly.
