running across something with uefi boot. hoping i just have something set up incorrectly. every time the target device reboots, it is getting a new IP address. We have leases set up and its not honoring that configuration. Is this a dhcp option thing? infoblox is the ip management tool

There is a difference between, leases and reservations. A lease will be assigned and an ip reservation is set per mac address. I guess its the same with Infoblox 🤷♂️

If you want/need the machines to keep the same IP, I would recommend setting up reservations. It sounds like your Infoblox isn't honoring leases for long enough.

Totally understand leases and reservations. The lease period is 8 hours. So in practice it should survive the reboot. It does on all of our other deployments not using uefi. I don’t really care for reservations and it’s a pita to get them in our environment

So... what DHCP server are you using? For example, if Infoblox, there is a setting you need to tell it to use just the MAC address for leases...
