Am I crazy, or did the audio behavior in CVAD 2402 change? I used to have my VDA's speaker volume set to 100, with my endpoint set to 42. Upgraded from 2203 CU3 to 2402 on the VDA yesterday, and now the VDA is following the volume of my endpoint, which makes it too low or too loud. Is there no way to decouple the volume slider?
Not crazy, Audio Volume Synchronization: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/2308/whats-new#audio-volume-synchronization Now I have to figure out how the hell to disable it.
I'm not finding a policy in CVAD or CWA to disable this. WTF Citrix

strange i love this setting and so do users. dont have to explain to go to local machine to raise the volume etc

It's a nice feature, but the inability to control it is infuriating. My VDA's volume is so much lower that I would need to raise my endpoint's volume far too much.

Honestly doubt it. The fact that you can disable this feature in CWA for Linux, Mac, and thin clients but not Windows makes me want to throw a shoe at Citrix developers.

honestly, who throws a shoe... 😃

I wouldn't miss...
Another undocumented fix:
Key: HKLM\Software\Citrix\Audio
Name: EnableVolumeSync
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0 (Disable)
That is for W10, and I assume other workstation OSes. Server OS appears to be:
Key: HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Citrix\Audio
Name: EnableVolumeSync
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0 (Disable)

good find
