Just wanted to drop a message here to let folks know there's an issue with PVS accelerator on Xenserver 8 that Citrix is fixing. All they've told me is there is an issue with the retry mechanism. We were seeing WS2022 getting to the windows logo and hanging. A network trace showed the target sending requests for blocks, the server responding but the responses never made it back to the target device on the VM. For now we are running without PVS accelerator. We have 150 VDAs all booting from the same vdisk. We have 2 PVS servers and I'm finding they don't seem to drive IO faster than around 2 Gbps each. Retry rates are low (less than 20) to none. Boot up times to BISF completion are now 35 mins instead of 10. Does anyone know what their throughput looks like?
