Hello everybody, I have to upgrade 2 Citrix Farms in July in Working Hours with about 350 users per farm. Farm 1 : CVAD with PVS will be upgraded from 1912Cu2 to 2203Cu04 Farm2 : CVAD with PVS will be upgraded from 2203Cu1 to 2203Cu4 Storefront, Delivery Controllers are redundant. I have then one license server, one director server, one database server, one wem server 2209 with offline mode activated per farm (will be upgraded to latest version). Offline mode already activated on the 2 pvs farms. I will use the Citrix official upgrade process : https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/upgrade-migrate/upgrade.html In the two cases, can I upgrade Storefront with installing new versions first on storefront1, reboot and then on Storefront2, reboot and propage changes from Sf1 to 2 to validate if the Sf group is working ? I will do the same with DDC and Pvs Servers. Do you have some good tips to upgrade without problems ? Customers are aware that it could be some connections problems in working our while the upgrade process. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you very much. Loïc

Restart both SF's, one after the other - make sure to check Storefront services, you restart the other. Upgrade 01, restart after. Check services. Upgrade 02, restart after. Check services. That tends to work for me. When you do it like that, there shouldn't be any down time.

Do You have a NS in the mix for the stores via LB?
l
Yes I have a LB vSRV on NS, so the baseURL points to my LB vSRV 🙂
This mean I can disable one storefront and upgrade it and when it's done reactivate them in NS and do the same for the second one.

for PVS I have 2 servers so I can stop stream process and upgrade one serveur then balance target device to upgraded server and do the same on the second one
and DDC are redundant too so I can upgrade one, upgrade DB when launching studio after upgrade and then upgrade the second one and open studio and finish upgrading DB when prompted.
and for WEM, I have only one server, but as I have offline mode activated, I normally can upgrade infrastructure server without problems because agents caches are up to date.
Same for FAS, one server on one farm but this is very quickly upgraded so when users are connected, I should not have any problems.
Thanks for your answers 🙂

Yes of course, I planned to verify backups, to make snapshots and to backup database with SQL Management Studio 😄
