I've got a client who's looking to exit their current datacenter this summer into another datacenter. Zerto will be used to migrate some of the existing CVAD infra, and the private IP address range will remain the same. They are looking to migrate their existing app layering setup. I've worked with app layering off on and on for years, but the appliances have always stayed put within the DCs they were built in. I found the following article from 2017 (still using the unidesk branding). Is this still the preferred means to migrate app layering appliances between DCs? https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX228512/app-layeringunidesk-v2-migrating-a-unidesk-system-to-a-different-vmware-vcenter

You could also use export and import as a strategy.
Also check out availability, backup, and recovery section - https://community.citrix.com/tech-zone/design/reference-architectures/app-layering/

@Rob Zylowski any other thoughts?

The app layering appliance is just a normal vm just wiht a large disk attached so you can use zerto or other migraiton method to migrate it. If the ips are the same no really issues if say the pvs server you interface to changes its ip you wdl need to reregister the agent on PVS.
