Just for information: Since 3 weeks now I'm experience issues with Teams V2 in Server 2022 and VDA 2311 and now VDA 2402, It take long time to connect to a Teams Meeting. If I got a 1:1 call, same issue and teams can't connect and the call is aborted from teams itself with a timeout. The problem occurred for the first time during the week from one day to the next without changing the Citrix image
m
I havent heard abt that issue but what are your folder exclusions for profile management?
🤓 1
m
using ODFC + UPM, cleanup on user login this 4 folders <!--Microsoft New Teams--> <Exclude>AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\Logs</Exclude> <Exclude>AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\PerfLog</Exclude> <Exclude>AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\EBWebView\WV2Profile_tfw\WebStorage</Exclude> <Exclude>AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\EBWebView\WV2Profile_tfw\GPUCache</Exclude> and roam with UPM this 2 json files in %localappdata%\Publishers\8wekyb3d8bbwe\TeamsSharedConfig otherwise Teams Outlook Plug-in is not working on next logon
tested with Teams Web Client too, same experience
m
Ok... I am out 😄 Btw. MSFT did a typo on the exclusions section regarding your second exclusion... PerfLog does not exist, its perflog_*s*_ if I am not mistaken (see screenshot 1). Additionally it states in the floating text that "%localappdata%\Publishers\8wekyb3d8bbwe\TeamsSharedConfig\meeting-addin" shouldnt persist (see screenshot 2). Maybe delete this folder makes it any better in your case?
m
we roam the 2 json files only

What is the internet connection at the endpoint like? Since it offloads to the client you have to look at it's hops. So if you use something like VPN on the endpoint it might now be backhauling to the datacenter. I have had to tell clients to NOT use vpn if using Citrix remotely so that the Teams traffic just goes out their local internet correctly.
m
no VPN, at home with 1 client on my internet connection. If VPN is sued, check Split-Tunneling as you say.

@Markus Zehnle its perflog here.. 😕

Sounds potentially network related. Any proxy services in play? On the endpoints?
m
@Paul Brown which teams version are you using? Mine is 24074.2321.2810.3500
p
@Markus Zehnle "You have Microsoft Teams version 24074.2321.2810.3500. You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 4/29/2024. Citrix HDX Optimized. The client version is 49/24022924517."
m
@Leee Jeffries we have the issue with and without proxy, single endpoint at home on the ISP, no VPN, Ica gateway only and the issue appears. Same with direct connection to the VDA’s
l
Sounds really odd, I need to do some testing around it soon so will try and work this into it and time it.
m
For initial call setup I don’t think hdx optimization is involved but may be wrong. You could set Citrix policy to disable it and test. Do you have an account that you can disable profile management on and use a local account? You may run wireshark on vda and same on endpoint and look for STUN traffic. I have been running 2402 on 2022 since it was released and seen no issues like this with win11 and igel endpoints. I’m leaning towards a network issue.
m
I can call the networking guys, df.trap.teams.microsoft.com is blocked 🙄
