CVAD 2203.3000 on-prem, not Cloud/Daas: I have a customer where sometimes a few MCS VDAs are PoweredOff on Mondays. I've searched through the Controller eventlogs and found evidence, that Studio initiates the shutdown via the VMware API. The shutdown times are identical to the times where the eventlog stops in the MCS clone. But I have no idea why Studio does that. What I found out is, that it happens outside of the Delivery Group reboot schedule, as the wording of the eventlog entry is different. 1st screenshot shows a shutdown from the reboot schedule and the 2nd one shows the shutdown which causes my issue. Please notice the exact wording: The Citrix Broker Service successfully performed power action 'Shutdown' (origin: Policy) on virtual machine 'LTGNET\SHRN1CPROD01'. What does (origin: Policy) mean, where does this shutdown command come from?
This seems to be a timing issue: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX223434/ The time window for the reboot (2 hours) is too short for the number of machines, combined with the duration of the registration through the startup scripts. If that's true, we just need to extend the reboot time window because the registration interval has already been extended. The time has now been extended.
