GM Everyone, silly question..Is a direct workload connection not fully configured unless you have rendezvous enabled? I have clients that only have network locations enabled but did not enable the rendezvous policy setting. I thought you needed both to enable direct workloads as per citrix documentation - https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace/optimize-cvad/workspace-network-location.html. Am I wrong?

two different things here. Network Locations (Director Workload Connection) is used to help reduce the hops/latency for users that are considered "Internally" in most cases. Therefore RV1 isn't used here as they will establish a direct connection to the VDAs, thereby reducing latency for internal network communication. If the users are external WFM(Work from Home) and you have the parts setup for RV1, it will allow the VDAs to bypass the Citrix Cloud Connectors to connect directly and securely with the Citrix Cloud control plane.

does it make a difference then if the VDA is in Azure? should direct workload still be enabled>?
