You typically start from an azure image and layer over the top - some images have office installed too but it’s much of a muchness Yes you can use windows 11 multisession in azure - it’s heavier than server OS resource wise (less users per box) - it comes with customers AVD entitlement

Thanks James, can you explain this? "some have an office reinstalled version too but it’s my of a muchness". Is that some non US slang that i dont get? 🙂

That was terrible English, typed while cooking. Fixed above.

lol, what is a muchness though? “but it’s much of a muchness”

Oh it’s a term that basically means it’s pretty much the same - as in, only minor differences, or not really much going on differently

When I build my master images in AZ I’m simply creating a new vm and just picking a base OS of win10/11 multisession and building from scratch. No VMs from the gallery for me. You get a bare bones OS. Only thing optional during the build is I will use an “extension” like Nvidia if it is a gpu enabled vm.
And sorry if I get my AZ terminology crosswired lol
