If I’m not mistaken you can specify on which vlan you send the HA heartbeats, so they pass through the correct interface on VMware.

we only have one interface, do you think that we would need to specifically set this interface ? If the VMs are on the same host then everything works fine which makes me believe it is either a config mismatch with the physical switches or a FW issue.

Try configuring the NSVLAN (using set ns config)

did you enable *Promiscuous Mode* and *Forged Transmits ?*
