@Balint Oberrauch which CVAD version is this?
b
It's 2308. VMware onPrem
That would be the terminating error in Studio.
And the error stack in VMware: Source VM/Disk vm-509402:2000 encrypted, but no storage-policy selected for the destination. Select an appropriate storage-policy to either decrypt or keep the VM/Disk encrypted.
b
I've only done that on Azure, not on VMware. Unlike Citrix Cloud for Azure machines, Webstudio on Prem doesn't allow me to select a machine profile.

https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops-sdk/current-release/machinecreation/new-provscheme • You also must enable Full Clone: "Encrypted storage policy only supports full clone." So if you create the ProvScheme add: "-UseFullDiskCloneProvisioning"
b
I'll try that in a few minutes šŸ˜„ thank you Rody.
I removed the encryption policy to enable support for linked clones. Deployment works only via PowerShell using a Machine Profile (Template) based on the master VM. The key command is:
$provScheme =New-ProvScheme -CleanOnBoot
-HostingUnitName "vSanRg"
-IdentityPoolName "<string>"
-InitialBatchSizeHint 1
-MasterImageVM "XDHyp:\HostingUnits\<hosting unit name>\<snapshot name>.snapshot"
-NetworkMapping @{"0"="XDHyp:\HostingUnits\<hosting unit name>\\<network name>.network"}
-ProvisioningSchemeName "<string>"
-Scope @() -VMCpuCount 4
-VMMemoryMB 6144
-MachineProfile "XDHyp:\HostingUnits\<hosting unit name>\<template name>.template" -TenancyType Shared
-FunctionalLevel "L7_20"
