Physical Netscaler devices sometimes take a worrying amount of time to reboot after an update. SDX's more so, but most of the time I update one, give it a reboot and wander off for 10 mins or so. Grab a drink and chill. Just set a ping -t against the nsip to give you an idea when it's coming back to life. 5-10 mins is about the norm I think, I've never really measured the time but learned to go and do something else rather than sit and stare at the screen with an increasing sense of dread. :)
