that doesnt matter, you would typically only use odfc if you are using another profile solution (ie cpm), otherwise a single profile container is the way to go.

Historically ODFC would be used in conjunction with Profile Container if a) you need to be able to reset the cache separate to the main container b) you want to keep the Office caches on a different storage tier, or c) you want to replicate the profiles and want to cut down the storage utilized by replication. However, as everyone has pointed out, Microsoft are now recommending it only when another profile solution is in use, which feels like they are trying to backburn ODFC containers slightly
