have you configured optimal gateways in the store here, it sounds like you might have that accidentally configured, either for the wrong gateway for the zone or delivery controller or perhaps have the 1st gateway set as the default.

Hi Dale, no zone configured, GW1 is set as default but i thought it was only used for heavy client usecase ?), and regarding optimal hdx routing, GW1 has got DDC assigned, GW2 has external only box ticked and no DDC assigned because they are all already assigned to GW1.

That sounds like the problem, as you have ddcs assigned to gw1 it thinks that's your closest gateway. If you have only one pair of ddc's then it will route them out of gw1 all the time. Unbind the ddc's from the gateway routing and you will find traffic will just route out of the gateway you authenticate too.
