I have a blog that will help you and all the parts. Want it? But yea It helped me during COVID
There is a reg key you need to set because UDP keep alive channel drops. Not sure if Citrix addressed it but worth checking. It in the blog and @dale scriven has been using this alot and he has great materials too.

What version of NetScaler firmware are you on? in 13.1 you need a DTLS vserver rather than just enabling DTLS on the Gateway vServer.
r
@Rob Zylowski you bring up a good point. I have seen that now in the Gateway wizard and I was curious between the two. the vServer vs the checkbox. Any real difference other than the possibilities on extra option on the vServer(DTLS)

Hey Ray, from memory I think Citrix fixed it in CU5 in 1912. . ot sure about the CR channels. For UDP you also need to check with your network team to make sure the timeout for UDP protocol is equal or longer than what you set in the keepalive timeout reg key
I think the difference is because the dtls flag in the gateway uses TLS 1.1 which from a security team standpoint gets a bit of fire your way. Having a separate dtls VIP fixes the weaker security

Okay, great to know that. Thank you guys for the extra information

agree wiht Dale I think that is the reason thought i dont know whey the checkbox cant do 1.2. Ill ask though

Link to my post about call dropping. The UDP timeout and network config is important if your users have periods of no calls which is where the keepalive flag kicks in. https://vhorizon.co.uk/citrix-audio-over-udp-dropping-mid-session/

That's great, thanks a mill Guys! 🙏 I'm on 13.0 but will move to 13.1 shortly. I'll read the blogs and will make sure to align the UDP timeout with the reg. Again thank you ;)
