You're looking in to having the "Single URL approach" for your environment? I think the term "unified gateway" is a bit vague. ref: https://docs.netscaler.com/en-us/citrix-gateway/current-release/unified-gateway.html ... for what's it worth, I've been setting up those, but using separate host names for each application (to overcome rewrite problems), still piling up eveything under one VIP and having all the authentication bells and whistles in place.
b
No idea; I also consider it "vague" as Citrix doesn't make it clear and Citrix should make it clearer. The only thing that will be launched from this gateway are VDI desktops
k
I'd say that you would cope with just "basic Citrix Gateway" based on your requirement. There's tons of guides how to create one.
b
But what is a "basic Citrix gateway"? Like what is the definition of that???

good one!
On the very, very basic level, I'd have to say that the most basic one is a plain ICA proxy that you're looking for. So, it allows users to enumerate resources from the on-premises StoreFront and proxy ICA traffic to the VDA servers? It's getting a bit more complex now that you should implement the authentication via authentication profile rather than using the legacy policies that are directly bound to the GW vServer. (So features like RDP Proxy or SSL VPN are not available)
b
Yeah, the one I know is using Ica proxy

Carl has a pretty thorough guide for such setup: https://www.carlstalhood.com/citrix-gateway-ica-proxy/
b
Yeah, thats the one I use
