For 100% ; I would build fresh in parallel, and then migrate to it. The question is do you have enough compute power to create a parallel SF.
I actually built one of the storefront servers fresh from scratch and tried to migrate to it
They communicated BUT it said that the "child" so to speak, refused the connection on 808
TCP PORT sharing was started
Assuming your SF & DDC's are separate, you shouldn't need port sharing?
Correct, they are separate; I was just mentioning it since it was one of the problems to look out for
I added the computer accounts to Administrators and CitrixStorefrontAdministrators
Did you create a separate gateway on the VPX? It boils down to how much parallelism they'll let you do. I would normally try and get new parallel certs with a slightly different name, or create an internal cert with a slightly different name so you can build it up and get it working, and then be able to migrate off-hours. How does it fail with the parallel setup?
There is no VPX right now
No certs either.....yeah, in 2023
Tommorow Im gonna do the same thing AGAIN.....I dont think the outcome will be different but....
So, what do you have available to build in parallel, and what are you stuck with exactly as is right now?
I dont think I have resources to build in parallel and then migrate. Right now its on two storefronts in a server group on 1912
The end goal is to upgrade them to the latest LTSR which is 2203 CU2

First of all. Do u clean the dns ?
b
The Citrix part? No because it's working as is so since we are upgrading versions, we want to minimize downtime as much as possible (the upgrade was enough as is)
d
Plz clean up this. Because the dns round robin are work against you
b
Sadly until the upgrade is implement, I cant do that. At most, touch the storefronts hosts file
